My fifth fashion blog!

Why hello!  I'm sitting here, bored because I still have a week until I go back to Kent, and looking down at my thumper boxer shorts wondering where the line of fashion and functionality lies.  WHENEVER I go out, I always try to look my best, fashion is the first thing I think about (not functionality, which is sometimes a bad thing.)  However when I'm at home I don't have that mindset at all, it's sweats and a comfy t-shirt all the way.  I'm just wondering, for example, in Gossip Girl, do those girls EVER where old sweatshirts and leggings, or are they in designer 24/7.  Can you be both style and function and still call yourself a fashionista???
I dove into the cluttered, over-whelming world of Google Images to find an answer and came back with one.  Yes, yes you can be both.  Above is a pic of Blake Lively, who plays Serena in Gossip Girl, wearing a gorgeous designer dress and looking effortlessly chic, but to the right is Blake wearing comfy yoga pants and flip flops.
As long as it is not a daily go-everywhere-in-sweats-and-Uggs thing, it's fine.  Just look your best when it matters, so basically if you're not going to the gym or you're not staying in your house, there is no good reason why you shouldn't look stylish.
However, I will admit, there are days where I just don't care, like when I wake up late for class or I don't feel good, (these are exceptions :))
