MILITARY JACKETS CIRCA  2 0 1 0

Military jackets came back into fashion in 2009.  They were the perfect item to add to your rocker/ military mode.  However, this year, they are the perfect thing to tone down a flowery dress or blouse, giving it a boho, eclectic vibe.  "AT EASE SOLDIER!"  ;)

This vintage, 60s, lace-lingerie inspired blouse can be toned down with a navy gray military jacket.  By rolling up the sleeves, it gives the whole look a more casual tone.  

My boyfriend just bought me this exquisite roadie-military jacket from H&M.  It mellows out this flouncy, floral dress perfectly!

To bring granny sweaters into the modern era, pair one with a bold, screen t-shirt and an olive, khaki military shirt.  It brings a new definition to the term "can't teach a new dog old tricks!" 

This military jacket I just snagged from Plato's Closet c'est magnifique!  The vertical stripes add an unsuspected surprise, and when paired with an ultra-femme white, embossed dress..Perfect!

One of my favorite and original military jackets from last year has recently inspired me for an uplift on its vibe.  I put a screen tee under it and placed a bold floral print sweater with it.  It is simply military a la mode!
